The Veterans section isn't nothing beautiful. The only thing that signifies that your in the Veterans section is 6 flag poles and a run down artillery gun. Witch had enough hornets and bee's around it to be considered to dangerous to be around. I was lucky to be able to capture the pics I did without being stung !!! The worst part of the Veterans section I saw was one head stone looked like it was run over by a lawn mower and it was cracked in half. But what told me this is not the final resting place for my future father in law was one plot in the Veterans section was closed back in January 2016 the ground had settled but there grounds keepers never bothered to plant grass or even attempt to put grass seed down !!!
Lastly this memorial is not kept up. Its shown by the dilapidated office, cracked side walks, cracked head stones, and a lack of caring for there grounds. In my opinion Resurrection Cemetery on Hulmeville Road is a better choice for your loved ones final resting place. There manicured grounds show just why so many people are buried there. Id rather spend a few hundred more and have that piece of mind knowing we made the right choice in my father in laws final resting place.
Very clean and well maintained
This is a family run business. I have found them to be quite helpful in the difficult time making final arrangements for your love ones. My father purchased plots back in the 60's. Now Mom and Dad are placed there in different areas. The records were there and all went well. They do updates on the grounds however it does take time. I have been going there for the last 14 years purchasing mausoleum niche for my son. I find the office staff very helpful and again its a small family business.
I came over to Rosedale Memorial to look at plots for my soon to be father in law. He wanted to be buried at Rosedale in the Veterans section. My first impression was mixed. Burial costs are around $5,400 witch included plot, vault, opening - closing and bronze plate.
My grandparents were married here right before he left for WW2. Where they began their lives is where they settled 50 years together and an eternity there after.
Always clean and presentable
While the women I met with was really nice, my first impression of there office was not very good. The office is old, dilapidated and just looked like a shack. After meeting with my contact we decided to take a walk and see the grounds. I was not impressed there is no organization plots are scattered some are close to each other, others are on top of each other. On top of all that the grounds maintenance is not great. I saw various flags that were tipped over or just laying on the ground also one thing that bothered me is on one plot there was a pot of dead flowers that was tipped over half laying on the grass. When they last mowed the grass they were to lazy to remove the dead flowers and so they mowed around them pretty sad !!! Also most of the concrete walks are in bad shape with lots of cracks and weeds in my opinion its a hazard to even walk on.
